Now I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions. However, I do make goals for each year.
This year, some of the things that I want to get done for this house:
- buy butter crock
- buy salt crock
- window treatments for the downstairs
- paint downstairs
I am a list maker. I will have many lists in my head and a few written down on paper. I am not naturally an organized person so my lists will sometimes get lost. That's okay though. I will either forget about that list entirely or remember it and write it down again. In the case of the first option, I apparently didn't need that list bad enough to begin with so no loss there. In the latter case, I remembered what I needed anyway.
As the southern tradition goes, I am eating my bowl of black-eyed peas and cornbread. Yum. I miss living in Texas. Although, I want to live in Missouri. I've seen pictures of my in-law's family there and it's so pretty there. There are 4 seasons there. Not 3 or even 2, but all 4. Here is southern California, we get only 3 seasons. Fall with a short spring followed by a sweltering summer. And let me say that the fall normally doesn't hit us until January at which point we'll be outside raking up the leaves. This year, we are blessed enough to have fall around November.
I am looking forward to this year. This is going to be a year of change for us. Positive changes. Life altering changes. And I am more than ready for a change. Both physically and deep down in my core. I am looking forward to what 2010 has in store for both myself and my family.
I love y'all and hope the best for you as we enter this new year of 2010!!
